Welcome to the Auditory Perception Group @UCL
There are various ways that you can contribute to our research. A direct way is, obviously, by participating in on of our experiments. We are almost always looking for volunteers who take part in our listening experiments. They typically take between 30 and 90 minutes. We are looking for adult participants of all genders with normal hearing or a hearing impairment. We are particularly happy about volunteers who wear hearing aids or cochlear implants. If you wish to be informed about future experiments, please contact us via email, j.schlittenlacher@ucl.ac.uk The experiments take place in Chandler House, 2 Wakefield Street, London WC1N 1PF (note that there is more than one Chandler House and more than one Wakefield Street in London, make sure you use the postcode to find us after a short walk from King's Cross or Russel Square.)
If you are a student, whether at UCL or another university, and interested in auditory perception, auditory neuroscience, machine learning for audiology, feel free to contact us for opportunities.
Each year, we have opportunities for dissertations with behavioural experiments, EEG experiments, or for similar small research projects.
Paid opportunities will be advertised on our homepage and the homepage of our division: Vacancies at PALS
You want us to participate in your project? If you have any ideas that mutually benefit our work and curiousity, don't hesitate to get in touch. We are particularly delighted to work with
musicians and anything related to hearing loss.
If you are a company that may benefit from our expertise but needs some discretion, we do consulting and contracted research.
